Description

DTD1 hydrolyzes D-tyrosyl-tRNA(Tyr) into D-tyrosine and free tRNA(Tyr). It could be a defense mechanism against a harmful effect of D-tyrosine. DTD1 may be a risk factor for aspirin-intolerant asthma (AIA) by catalyzing the hydrolysis of D-tryptophan and interacting with the tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase (tyrRS) enzyme, which promotes a pro-inflammatory phenotype. This protein is localize to the DuE(DNA unwinding element)s of active replication origins. Recombinant human DTD1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques
